Primera® Integrates Qflix-Enabled Drives for Bravo Units
April 12th, 2007
Primera Technology today announces it integrates Qflix-enabled drives in its Bravo-Series Disc Publishers.
Qflix-enabled disc publishing equipment gives retail stores the ability to offer high-quality, professionally-burned and printed video content on DVDs, on-demand with integrated CSS copy protection. Content owners have long been requiring copy protection on replicated discs in order to protect their valuable media assets. Now, the same type of copy protection as used on replicated discs is available on-demand at retail outlets by using Qflix drives and media in Primera’s disc publishers.
Retailers can now make new profits by offering downloaded video content on DVDs that are legal, secure and reliable.
Primera will exhibit its Qflix-enabled solutions at the National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB), April 16-19, 2007 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Primera is located in Booth SL 12405.
“Primera sells more disc publishing equipment than any other company in the world,” said Mark D. Strobel, Primera Technology’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With Sonic’s Qflix DVD On Demand software, Qflix CSS-enabled technology and CSS-enabled recordable media, Primera can provide the most affordable, reliable and complete solution for in-store, on-demand DVD movies and other video content.”
“Sonic and Primera are the perfect match for producing Qflix-enabled DVDs at retail stores,” said Tom Hogan, VP of Digital Distribution Systems at Sonic Solutions. “Primera’s highly-affordable hardware burns and prints extremely high-quality, professional-grade discs in full color. Consumers will be very pleased with the high-quality, robust discs produced by Primera equipment.”
